G-Town
Hello friends and family,
This week has a been a good week! It's weird being in a different area, but it's a sweet place and I'm loving it! George town is great. It's been good to me so far. There is a lot of diversity so that's pretty cool! Me and elder Solomon are getting along great. He is a good guy!
There are so many nice Spanish people. Elder Solomon and I try to talk to them, but we don't speak Spanish so it's hard, but it's all good. Maybe I'll try to learn some Spanish!
The biggest difference from this area and Cornish is that there are a lot more people walking around, and also a lot more referrals. It's crazy. The first night I was in Georgetown we went and visited a referral who has talked to some missionaries. He has been reading the Book of Mormon and supposedly enjoys it! He wasn't home but . . . his dad was home so we got to talk to the dad for a while and he was so sweet! We are going back to teach the son and we are going to try get the family involved as well! We are pumped.
Another great opportunity we have is this Hispanic family. They are all members of the church except for one daughter, who speaks pretty solid English so we are looking forward to teaching her as well!
We have a lot potential in this area that I'm excited about. Hopefully everything will work out as planned. It was hard to say goodbye to Cornish and some of the members there. I'm going to miss that place and all the memories. But I'm excited for a new change!
George town is a really cool place and I'm excited to get working in this area! I love being a missionary and on a mission. Although it's hard it is so worth it trying to give people a second chance at life through Jesus Christ!
Georgetown here we come!!! Lesssssss go!!!!
