Pretty good week . . .

This week was pretty good. It went by so fast I'm trying to remember everything that happened! We taught Dave #2 and he is awesome. He understands a lot of what we are talking about and believes it's true. We have to make sure he really understands priesthood authority. Elder Wandry sent his first baptismal invite and he did a great job. It was awesome! Dave said he is open to it! We are excited about his progress. 

 

Evan cancelled on us this week because he was sick! I was upset, haha but it's all good. Then our appointment in the afternoon cancelled on us as well, so the day was just getting better and better. THEN . . . wait for it . . . our dinner appointment with the Johnson family that I was so excited about, got cancelled as well. ;(  It was one of the better days of my mission. haha!! But we did find two new investigators that day, to end on a positive note!

We went to a benefit dinner for somebody in the ward and it was fun. ha ha They did a Chinese auction and it was so funny. We put all of our tickets in a box for a gift card to Walmart and a couple of tickets in a box that was for shampoo and hair stuff. We got the hair stuff. Ha ha! I was so embarrassed because there were so many people, and a bunch of people in our ward just watching the missionaries get shampoo and conditioner hahaha It was pretty funny! Then we put tickets in for a clock that plays music and we got that too! Haha We were pumped! It was a good night! 

After the auction we had a lesson with Dave #1 and he is doing good. We went into the lesson to try and get him comfortable with tithing! And wow is he frustrating to teach, to be honest. He knows it's true, and he loves the church. He keeps saying that if it wasn't for tithing he would be baptized. We will get there. The sisters who used to use to teach him before me and Elder Bester got here taught him the plan of salvation and the restoration and pretty much all the lessons. But we are gonna go over all the lessons with him again! Hopefully it will help him. 

To top off the week . . . church was canceled due to the weather!!
