Farewell Elder Bester
Hello friends and family!
Wow this has been a crazy week! It was me and Elder Bester's last week together and it is sad to see him go); I've learned a lot from him and we have grown to be really good friends throughout these past couple months! But I'm excited to see what's next for me and my traineeee ha ha Yep, I'm training this next transfer!!
Anyways, this week we didn't do much. A lot of driving to the mission home because Elder Bester was going to the temple for his last week so I was in Manchester for a couple of days!
Wow, this is such a boring email!! Okay, we did go to the elf volunteering again this week!! And it was awesome! You know how we line up in a line and say our elf names? So we set it up in a way where I would be "chocolate" then Elder Bester was "chip", then the other elders were "cookies" and "milk" It was funny. haha!
On Wednesday we had a huge snow storm so we were grounded and weren't able to drive for most of the day, so we just walked around and shoveled snow all day! It was fun! It is so funny, when you ask people in New England if they need any help with anything, they always say no. ha ha So I've just learned that you just have to start helping and don't ask haha!
A miracle I saw this week: while we were volunteering as elves, this guy came up to us. It was a guy we recognized from basketball every Monday night. So we were talking, you know, some small talk and he is sweet. Then we got talking about what we do as missionaries and he was really impressed and wanted to learn more so we gave him a Book of Mormon and picked him and his girlfriend as new investigators!!! So that was sweet!
That's really all that happened this week. Except we saw santa at the Cornish Ward Christmas party.
, and thanks mom for the Charlie Brown Christmas tree.
Love you all. Hope you have a great week and a merry Christmas. Go light the world! Go do simple acts of kindness!
